Ọni ọ si ẹre ne ima gha na kakabọ ye obọ dae yi sẹ ayọ, ighẹ ẹmwata ne ima họn nẹ, ne a ghẹ ya ima de odẹ.
That is why it is necessary for us to pay more than the usual attention to the things we have heard, so that we never drift away.

Consequently, he had to become like his “brothers” in all respects, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, in order to offer a propitiatory sacrifice* for the sins of the people.
18 Banbanna nian, te irẹn ghi sẹtin ya emwa ni miẹn edanmwẹ obọ, rhunmwuda rẹn tobọ ẹre, a danmwẹ ọnrẹn ghe, ọ vbe rrioya.
18 Since he himself has suffered when being put to the test, he is able to come to the aid of those who are being put to the test.
Or “to offer an atoning sacrifice; to make atonement.”

9 where your forefathers put me to the test and tried me, despite seeing my works for
10 Rhunmwuda ọni, ọre ohu iran na mu mwẹ. I keghi kha wẹẹ, ‘Ẹghẹ hia iran ya ba odẹ ku vbe iro ne iran ze. Iran ma he ye rẹn uyinmwẹ mwẹ.’
10 This is why I became disgusted with this generation and said: ‘They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not come to know my ways.’

Beware, brothers, for fear there should ever develop in any one of you a wicked heart lacking faith by drawing away from the living God;
13 Sokpan na ghẹ miẹn wẹ orukhọ rẹrẹ eso vbe uwu uwa do yae re gha ze vbe udu, wa ghi gha ru iyobọ ne egbe ẹdẹgbegbe, ugbẹn vbe a miẹn wẹẹ “Ẹdẹnẹrẹ” ne ebe khare ye dekan ima.
13 but keep on encouraging one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you should become hardened by the deceptive power of sin.
14 Rhunmwuda, otu Kristi ma hia ye, deghẹ ma mu uhunmwu kọ ẹre gbangban-angban, ya sẹ ufomwẹ, ighẹ amuẹtinyan ne ima gha mwẹ vbe omuhẹn.
14 For we actually become partakers of* the Christ only if we hold firmly down to the end the confidence we had at the beginning.

Rhunmwuda ọni, wa gie ima ziga ne a la owa ya gu Osanobua hẹwẹ. Wa ghẹ gie ima rhọkpa yin ehọ, zẹ vbe ne iran ru ne iran ma na ghi la owa.
Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall into the same pattern of disobedience.

And there is not a creation that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we must give an account.
(Heb. 4:15, 16)
Ogie Ohẹn ọghomwa, ẹi re ne ẹnina ọmwa i sẹtin la ẹre ekhọe vbe ẹmwẹ evburriẹ mwa. Sokpan Ogie Ohẹn ọghomwa keghi re ne avbe la odẹ hia danmwẹ ghe zẹ vbene ima ye, sokpan ọ ma ru orukhọ.
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tested in all respects as we have, but without sin.

16 Let us, then, approach the throne of undeserved kindness with freeness of speech, so that we may receive mercy and find undeserved kindness to help us at the right time.
(Heb. 4:16)
Rhunmwuda ọni, wa gie ima din khekherriọ, ne a gha die odaro ẹkete Osanobua, ehe ne ẹseọhẹ ye. Evba nii ọre ima gha na miẹn itohan rhie kevbe ẹseọhẹ ne ọ gha yi ima obọ vbe ẹghẹ ne a na gualọe zẹẹ.

But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their powers of discernment* trained to distinguish both right and wrong.

Therefore, now that we have moved beyond the primary doctrine about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying a foundation again, namely, repentance from dead works and faith in God,

For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones.

in order that through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to take firm hold of the hope set before us.

25 So he is able also to save completely those who are approaching God through him, because he is always alive to plead for them.

For since the Law has a shadow of the good things to come, but not the very substance of the things, it* can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered year after year, make those who approach perfect.

37 For yet “a very little while,” and “the one who is coming will arrive and will not delay.”

38 “But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,” and “if he shrinks back, I have* no pleasure in him.”
39 Ma i rre uwu emwa ni werriegbe, iran na vbe wiruaa, sokpan ma mwe iyayi, a keghi miẹn mwa fan.
39 Now we are not the sort who shrink back to destruction, but the sort who have faith for the preserving of our lives.*

Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is* and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.

By faith Noah, after receiving divine warning of things not yet seen, showed godly fear and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; and through this faith he condemned the world, and he became an heir of the righteousness that results from faith.

26 because he considered the reproach of the Christ to be riches greater than the treasures of Egypt, for he looked intently toward the payment of the reward.

Yes, others received their trial by mockings and scourgings, indeed, more than that, by chains and prisons.

Let your way of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.”

Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among you and be submissive, for they are keeping watch over you* as those who will render an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with sighing, for this would be damaging to you.

Keep praying for us, for we trust we have an honest* conscience, as we wish to conduct ourselves honestly in all things.
